As we’re bringing old and new together, it’s important for us to remember that those who are shaping the world of tomorrow are young creative entrepreneurs. We are so impressed by all the awesome artists out there that we made it our mission to help them reach new levels of success and celebrate their creative genius. With this new trend, we’d like to spotlight three talented entrepreneurs from Italy: Salvatore, Maryam, and Weel Lee.
Meet Our Talented Entrepreneurs!
Coming from a lineage of tailors, Salvatore’s passion for fashion grew even more when he became a Striper. He dreams about creating a brand with no gender specificity, open to everyone. He’s also considering upcycling worn-out clothes to avoid waste and create new garments. In a word, Salvatore describes his style as Fluid.
Our next artist is Maryam, a girl with many talents. She’s a content creator, fashion enthusiast, and singer. Originally from Morroco, Maryam moved to Italy with her family when she was a child. She often writes in her lyrics about her life struggles as a foreigner and someone with career ambitions that are controversial in their family. However, she is followed by important Italian music magazines because they believe in her talent and potential. “I always knew I was born for making music,” she says. Maryam is currently learning how to create her own business with her passion. When it comes to trends, for 2023, the talented artist believes that inclusivity has been the mother of all trends in recent years and will remain this way for quite some time. “The biggest challenge for me, as an entrepreneur, is to keep believing, despite all the obstacles in my artistic journey. And the greatest reward is the support of the people who listen to me,” she shares.
Last but not least, we have Weel Lee, a cartoon artist and illustrator with a unique style. Most of his characters are black and inspired by streetwear culture. His main motivation is his need to create and share with people. Weel finds his inspiration in nature, fashion, and his blackness. “The greatest reward for me is definitely seeing people relating and finding themselves in what I make,” he says. In a word, Weel describes his artistic personality as Shifting.
